Bible Prophecy No Joke

They think it to be funny

The watchman on the wall. It isn't an easy job to undertake, particularly in a society that finds the Bible to have about as much truth in it as a Barack Obama campaign speech.

Recently, by some means, I came across a commentary written by Jeff Woods.

Jeff, it seems, is of the mindset that all Christians who believe in Bible prophecy are conspiracy theorists.

He wrote the following, in part, concerning our interest in RFID technology as a potential precursor to the prophesied mark of the beast:

After losing the usual fights against gays and abortion during the legislative session so far, Christian conservatives suddenly have decided to start standing up for privacy rights in an urgent, new movement to ensure that you will never be forced to have a microchip implanted under your skin.

And you didn’t know anyone was trying to stick a microchip into you? Well, no one is really (except maybe in the vivid imaginations of certain conspiracy theorists), but that’s not stopping evangelicals from rallying behind the issue as if Pat Robertson’s TV ratings depend on it.
I have to admit I found it funny that he acknowledged we're losing in the fight to prevent the slaughter of the innocents we commonly refer to as abortion, which the Lord hates as demonstrated by Proverbs 6:11, and noted that we're losing our struggle against the homosexual agenda as well, a sign of the end times as revealed in Luke 17:28-30, before unknowingly making a great case for why we're concerned by the implantable microchip.

Woods wrote:
Radio-frequency identification (RFID) tags, the data-storing microchips that we’re talking about here, could serve a lot of purposes in people—to store medical information, chiefly. But there have been no forcible implants, at least none that we know about.

So why are conservative Christians so riled up? There are the predictable paranoid anti-government types who figure anything’s possible once the black helicopters sweep in. But this fight’s really dedicated soldiers believe implanted microchips could become—cue the Twilight Zone music—Satan’s Mark of the Beast, which, as we all know from our readings of Revelation, is one way the devil will wield power over the Earth during the time of Tribulation.
And we wonder how, even in the midst of the Tribulation Period itself, as prophesied event after event is fulfilled precisely as foretold, many are going to continue in their sins, refusing to repent as - cue the Twilight Zone music - all hell breaks loose around them, precisely as predicted in Bible prophecy no less!

Duck your heads! Helicopter blades!

While people like Jeff Woods are mocking Christians, labeling us as anti-government types, some legislators are trying to prevent a day coming when we could be required to take a microchip implant to simply live our lives. Woods, not surprisingly, thinks that is just religious insanity, most likely because he's wearing the blinders Satan handed him and told him to wear so he could see things more clearly!

Revelation 13:16-17 tells us the following of the prophesied mark of the beast:
And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Could an implantable microchip become the mark of the beast in the prophetic future? Absolutely! You better believe it - and mankind seems to be being prepared for it subliminally right now. We're being sold on the benefits of RFID technologies practically daily yet few are drawing comparisons between the teachings of Bible prophecy and how eerily similar RFID technology of the implantable variety is to the biblical description of the mark of the beast! Oddly, we hear more from the people making fun of the relatively few of us who are drawing the connections openly than we do about the inherent dangers associated with mankind being chipped.

Let's microchip Grandpa - for his own good

When all the conversation started concerning whether we should microchip our grandfather who has Alzheimer's, which the Food and Drug Administration actually approved in 2004, I knew we were well on our way, at the very least potentially, to the prophesied mark of the beast becoming a reality. Why? Because Satan was doing what he does best, of course, helping us make decisions we'll later regret.

The problem with being microchipped, you see, is that the technology is constantly being improved upon and will, in all likelihood, end up being used in ways its current developers never dreamed of, all of which is fine for the wandering, lost grandpa suffering from Alzheimer's who can't even tell his doctor how he feels but what if the implantable microchip is, in fact, the prophesied mark of the beast in the making?

How comfortable would you be right now, even before the advent of the Antichrist, with the government placing a microchip in your body capable of spotting you from within 600 ft., knowing where you were to the extent a police officer could pull up in front of your home, look at a three-dimensional screen, and know which room of your house you were in and on which floor? That is already technologically possible if I'm reading an article in RFID Journal correctly. Say goodbye to privacy in that scenario, huh? If that sends a chill down your spine, you haven't seen nothing yet!

The next big thing in social networking?

We are so easily deceived these days. Truly.

At the University of Washington, a study is underway that places microchips on volunteers and tracks their every movement inside a contained environment where "it can be practical to know if a colleague is available for a cup of coffee."

A ZDNet article highlights both the good and the bad of this social networking study. First, a positive spin on the University of Washington's study as detailed in the article:
RFIDDER lets people use data from radio tags to inform their social network where they are and what they’re doing. The feature can be used on the Web and on a mobile phone, with a connection to the social-networking service Twitter.” And “the lab’s Personal Digital Diary application detects and logs a person’s activities each day and uploads them to a Google calendar. Users can search the calendar to jog their memories about when they last saw someone or how, where and with whom they spent their time.”
And now? The not-so-good of it.

Imagine, as you read the following, how the same information explained above could be utilized by an enemy of yours, a ruthless employer or even a global dictator like the prophesied Antichrist, for example:
"The system can show when people leave the office, when they return, how often they take breaks, where they go and who’s meeting with whom..."
The system can know when you come, when you go, who you talk to, which car you get into, where you drink your coffee, eat lunch, even how many times you go to the bathroom in a day! Add to all of that the monetary connection we see in Bible prophecy and you have a system through which a man at the head of the table of a global government would be able to wield control over "all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." (Revelation 13:7)

Buck the system a bit and you are out of the network, your microchip implant powered down. You no longer exist, legally at least.

Time to get real, no black helicopters required!

In a world filled with signs that Christ's return may be right around the prophetic corner, a technology is evolving that could easily become the prophesied mark of the beast in the form of the implantable microchip.

But what do I know, right? I'm just some crazy born-again Christian who is anti-government waiting on the black helicopters to swoop down onto my house and carry me away, right? Uh, no. Hardly.

As I have explained here on numerous occasions, there are powers in this world intent on bringing all of mankind under one globalized form of government and those powers will use any means at their disposal to accomplish that end goal. Some of those powers are hidden in plain sight in the form of human institutions while others exist in the spiritual realm yet hold great power over many influential people. In concert all of these are bringing global government closer and closer to becoming a reality as I discuss here periodically.

Quite frankly, there is so much of prophetic significance going on today that I believe anyone who doesn't believe the Word of God to be true is either exactly what they suggest the Bible-believing Christian is - a nutjob - or so blind to reality they wouldn't see a snake wrapped around their head until it bit them on the nose!

RaptureReady.com's Todd Strandberg wrote something a while back that has become one of my favorite all time quotes concerning people like Jeff Woods who make fun of us for watching for a literal fulfillment of Bible prophecy to occur and think it's all just coincidence or - cue the Twilight Zone music - luck that things keep taking place that seem to be proving the Bible to be exactly what we believe it to be: history written in advance.

Todd wrote: "If my luck with the end-time signs doesn’t run out soon, yours will."

As believers, we look at what's going on around us then beg and plead for the lost to open their eyes and come to a saving faith in Jesus Christ before it's too late. In most cases, they think it to be funny. The laughter of the unrepentant, however? I sincerely fear it is about to come to a screeching halt. It could even happen today.

If you're reading this and you're not a Christian, I highly recommend that you give serious consideration to what you've read here today. If it has scared you, great! Truly you ought to be frightened!

A healthy fear of the Lord in these last days is the beginning of wisdom because, once the rapture of the Church has occurred, things are going to get progressively worse over the course of the seven-year Tribulation Period leading up to Christ's return.

Matthew 24:21: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

This is no joke nor is there anything funny about it at all. I beg you in the name of Jesus Christ, your Savior, to make yourself ready to meet Him in the air. He loves you and wants you to come to Him in repentance but, make no mistake about it, you don't have forever to make the right choice.

If you ignore my cries to you and eventually come up on the wrong side of Jesus Christ, you'll have no one to blame but yourself as there is plenty of evidence to be found concerning God's prophetic Word posturing for TOTAL fulfillment, potentially very soon.

Think about it. Be wise. Be ready.
