What If Jesus Came Tomorrow ?

Watch and pray always !

*Twas the Night Before Jesus Came *

and all through the house

not a creature was praying, not one in the house.

Their bibles were laid on the shelf without care,

in hopes that Christ Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed,

not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.

And mom in her rocker with baby on her lap

was watching the late show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

But what to my wondering eyes should appear
but angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.

With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light on His face made me cover my head.

It was JESUS! Returning just like He had said.

And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,

I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the book of life that He held in His hand,
was written the name of every saved man.

He spoke not a word as He searched for my name,
When He said "It's not here!" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.

With those who were ready He rose without a sound,
while all the rest, were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;

I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.

I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight,

Ohh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;

The coming of Jesus is drawing near.

There's only one life, and when comes the last call,

We will find that the Bible was true after all. *

Would you have to change your clothes before you let Him in ? Or hide some magazines and put the bible where they'd been ? Would you hide your worldly music and put some hymn books out ? Could you let Jesus walk right in, or would you rush about ?

And I wonder - if the Savior spent a day or two with you, would you go right on doing the things you always do ? Would you go right on saying the things you always say ? Or would life for you continue as it does from day to day ?

Would you take Jesus with you everywhere you go ? Or would you maybe change your plans for just a day or two ? Would you be glad to have Him meet your closest friends ? Or would you hope that they stay away until His visit ends ?

Would you be glad to have Him stay forever on and on ? Or would you sigh with great relief when He at last was gone ? It might be interesting to know the things that you would do, if Jesus came in person to spend some time with you !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So the big question is would your life have to change in anyway. If Jesus came knocking on your door tonight ? It is something to think about, Is there something in your life that you need to cleanup before Jesus does return ?

Jesus promised us 2,000 years ago that He would one day come back for us and take all Christian believers with Him up into heaven. That day is coming very soon, start making eternal differences for God's Kingdom now. Start looking up - your eternal redemption draws near !!!

Just a note from a brother in Christ:

Brother Mark,

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for such an amazing website! Specifically, for alerting me to the newest interpretation involving the Rosh Hashana 2008 "non-event" and its implications for us, which I have recently published on my own website.

I find your work to be very insightful and am grateful that you are doing the Lord's work and listening to that voice within that prompts you to write about such things boldly and courageously. I also see that you visited my own website recently.

For everything - thank you and keep up the good work!

YBIC,

Jeff Radt (JRed)

In Second Peter, chapter 1, Peter reminds us that the apostles were eyewitnesses of Jesus’ majesty.[1] But then he goes on to explain “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place.”[2]

In other words the prophetic Scriptures are even greater evidence of Jesus’ identity then seeing Him while He was on earth. Why? Because only God knows all of history in advance. Therefore prophecy establishes the Bible as God’s inspired Word. When sharing with non-believers, it is good to know some of the Old Testament Messianic prophecies by heart. Here are a few: In Psalm 22, written 1000 years before Christ, we are given amazing insight into the crucifixion scene of the coming Messiah. Zechariah 12:10 predicts that the Jews will look upon God whom they have pierced. Scripture also tells us that the Messiah would be a descendant of Abraham in Genesis 12:3, from the tribe of Judah in Genesis 49:10, and a descendant of King David in Isaiah 9:6-7. To confirm all these prophecies, the New Testament begins with a detailed genealogy of Jesus Christ – starting with Abraham.[3] No other man in history has had his detailed lineage foretold centuries in advance. These and many other prophecies provide irrefutable evidence that Jesus is the promised Messiah.

When sharing, Paul reasoned from the Law and the Prophets concerning Jesus.[4] So must we. Begin by convicted them using the Law and then confirm Christ’s identity through the Prophets.
